This report consists of 9 chapters from chapter 1 (Introduction) to chapter 9 (Post script). Chapter 2 contains an outline describing what proactive technique is, its engineering significance, effectiveness and rules. Chapters 3 ~ 7 consist of discussion regarding the 5 representative equipment (Motors, Transformers, Circuit breakers, Batteries and Cables). For each equipment, effective methods of maintenance (especially in regard to durability control) are explained using several examples. In chapter 8, actions required to further improve effectiveness of the proactive methods, future proposals and expectations are discussed. |
