Trends and Comparative Survey of Transformer Domestic and Overseas Standards
Investigating R&D Committee of Trends and Comparative Survey of Transformer Domestic and Overseas Standards
Keyword : Transformer, standard, JEC, IEC
In recent years, the importance of standards has been increasing as internationalization progresses. Under such circumstances, while considering the international positioning of Japanese power transformer standards, how to change Japanese power transformer standards is important when changing related domestic standards and international standards such as IEC. Comparison of power transformer standards with advanced major countries such as Western countries (UK, USA, France, Germany, Canada, Australia and New Zealand) and Japan have been carried out. One is the Technical Report (I) 129 "Transformer internal and external standard comparison table" (1979) of Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan. The other is Technical Report (I) 140 "Transformer internal and external standard comparison table (Revision)" (1985) of Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan. However, thereafter, the demand for electricity in developing countries has also increased, which has a great influence on transformer manufacturing. Therefore, our committee conducted a comparison of the standards of power transformer of more than 66 kV class in twelve countries including Brazil, Russia, India and China which are said to be economically developed in recent years. As a result, most of the standards of transformers in EU countries are unified to IEC, and other countries also have their own original parts due to their circumstances, but almost of them are found to be based on IEC. Furthermore, our committee carried out a survey on the transition of JEC standards and the comparison between JEC/JIS and IEC of transformer materials and summarized in this report.
