	High-Performance Permanent Magnets and their Applications

	Permanent magnet applications are rapidly and widely increased by the application to EV and HV motor parts, especially. For the applications, Dy substitution to Nd is necessary for obtaining the sufficient coercivity. The beginning 4 chapters in this report basically relate to the Dy resource problem (Chaps. 2-5). Concerning to long term stability of rare earth magnets in a partially magnetized state, the isotropic Sm-Fe-N bonded magnets was studied by some members in this committee (Chap.6). Applications in small motors (Chap.7), motors in electric devises (Chap.8), and especially usage for vehicles (Chap.9) were focused and discussed. New composition ferrite magnets (Chap.10) and their coercivity and magneto-after effects (Chap.11) were explained and discussed. Concerning to the processing and research technics, the high temperature magnetization method (Chap.12) and the XMCD-PEEM method (Chap.13) were explained, and the anti-electro-magnetic noise method using composite materials (Chap.14) were discussed.
