The fourth evaluation report by the intergovernmental panel on climate change (IPCC) presents that global warming is worse surely, and that the greenhouse gases which human life activity brings are the main cause of global warming. The global environmental problems are the important and urgent subjects to be solved facing human beings. Under such situations, the actions to develop the following technologies , 1) the technology for using materials without severe environmental load, 2) the technology for making recycling and reusing easier, 3) the technology for reducing environmental load to the general systems of the facilities, are being proceeded within the field of power receiving and distribution substations. With the abovementioned background, as the aim at contributing to construct the ecological life cycle type society, the R&D investigating committee has studied some survey subjects for power receiving and distribution substations within the voltage range of 66/77 kV and below (including control equipment). The main survey subjects are below, 1) to make the relation lists among environmental load factors, 2) to survey the top runner type equipment considering 3R(reduce, reuse, recycle), 3) to survey the methods of environmental load assessment, 4) to carry out the fieldwork of the energy saving type high voltage substations, and the plants which produce and recycle eco-material electric cables. The survey results are summarized as the technical report. It is expected that new technology movements aiming at reducing the environmental load and the future subjects will be clear. It is a good thing that this report will be useful to the relational users and makers. |
