This Investigating R&D committee had investigated and examined the surge phenomena and electromagnetic phenomena that were observed in the low-voltage and control circuits installed in power stations and substations. Furthermore, we conducted an examination on typical circuit parameters for establishing the calculation model of surge phenomena in low-voltage and control circuits, using the EMTP as well as the numerical electromagnetic analysis. These investigations and examinations contributed toward improving the technologies for the insulation coordination in low-voltage and control circuits that are installed in power stations and substations. Moreover, the surge analysis using EMTP as well as the numerical electromagnetic analysis enabled us to carry out a basic examination to evaluate qualitatively and quantitatively the electromagnetic phenomena caused by surges, which have hardly been studied so far. This paper consists of the following four items: (1) Investigation on surge phenomena and electromagnetic phenomena in low-voltage and control circuits (2) Examination into analytical method for the surge phenomena and electromagnetic phenomena in low-voltage and control circuits (3) Evaluation of modeling and simulation methods for the surge phenomena and electromagnetic phenomena in low-voltage and control circuits (4) Investigation on insulation coordination and EMC in low-voltage and control circuits These achievements will contribute to a basic examination of the insulation coordination and EMC design in low-voltage and control circuits installed in power stations and substations. |
