The report describes firstly a survey of automated driving systems of automobiles, and then it introduces fundamental technologies for automated driving including sensing, localization, driving control, communications, platoon control, and intelligence for roadways. In order to find solutions to issues on the introduction of automated driving systems, related technologies like functional safety of steer-by-wire, design of railway signal systems, control of aircrafts, and adaptive automation are surveyed. |
