Many kinds of simulation technologies have been developed for various kinds
of needs in the social and industrial fields, and used in practice. The
simulations can play effectively an important role to solve a lot of complex
problems in their fields if the modeling is appropriate for their simulation
objectives. Simulation technology is divided roughly into two categories; technology depending on the fields and one relating to the simulators. The former includes such technologies as CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics), FEM (Finite Element Method) and the modeling of complex system simulations. The latter does simulators for operations of medical treatment, a large scale of plants and traffic control systems. This report describes the fundamental simulation technologies and their applications. |
