This report presents various and latest measurement/simulation techniques and their applications for generation and control of discharges in vacuum. The discharges in vacuum environments have been utilized for various purposes that include electrical energy control by using vacuum interrupters, generation and control of charged/neutral particles, neutrons, X-rays etc. Production of nano-materials and modification of materials surfaces in vacuums attract more interests for industry. The committee has edited this report to attract not only engineers/researchers who engages in those fields mentioned, university/college students who have started their theses to deepen their knowledge and skills. The report consists of three chapters as follows. Chapter 1. Analysis, Measurement and Simulation Techniques for Investigation of Physical Property of Metal and Insulator Surfaces Chapter 2. Measurement, Diagnosis and Simulation Techniques for Investigation of Discharge Plasma in Vacuums Chapter 3. Measurement, Diagnosis and Simulation Techniques for Investigation of Discharge Initiation in Vacuum Gaps including Surface Discharges |
