It is expected increasingly that the dielectric liquids will be put to practical use as an effective material for a field of technologies on the design of power apparatuses and applications of liquids. In this investigative committee, a tendency of the present and future on the indispensable techniques for the measuring of properties of dielectric liquids, pre-breakdown phenomena, breakdown phenomena, the elucidation of the mechanisms in these phenomena and the applications of liquids was mainly investigated and discussed. This investigation report describes the results obtained on the following main items: (1) the measuring techniques on the kinds of dielectric liquids and their properties, and the behavior of charged particles in the liquids, (2) the measuring techniques on the pre-breakdown and breakdown phenomena in dielectric liquids, (3) the measuring techniques on the diagnostic of degradation of practical liquids, (4) the measuring techniques on the applications of the liquids and their properties. By these investigations, this report was completed with the contents including new measuring techniques on the physical, chemical and electrical properties of the dielectric liquids, the pre-breakdown and breakdown phenomena in dielectric liquids, the development of new dielectric liquids and the application of liquids etc. |
