	The present status of the medical actuation technology

	Innovative engineering technology has been applied to the field of medicine in recent years. Although the biological measurements such as the electrocardiogram and CT imaging have been the main objects in the traditional medical engineering field, actively interactive devices like artificial hearts, welfare equipments, and surgical aid robots have been the focus of recent studies. A new field in medical engineering called the medical actuation engineering has been established in the last few years. At present, the research and development in the field of medical actuation technology such as electromagnetic actuator has been performed independently. Investigation and verification of the required design specifications in the field of medical actuation technology have not been carried out yet. In this report, an investigation about the medical actuation technology was conducted.
