	After the war, electric power suppliers in Japan have advanced toward implementation for increasing demand. Nowadays residual life decrement of apparatus and economy advance saturation synergizes each other, so it requires a changeover into suitable plant management strategy appropriate to aged stage. In such situation, examining an economic impact of the insulation diagnosis and priority of it in electric power supply system is expected. This technical report gathered up the following investigation results; - We investigated the present situation and a trend of maintenance management for electric power apparatus. As a result, we digested the transition, history and the present situation of maintenance method, and we introduced economical engineering for electric power system and real option analysis. - We investigated methodology of asset management (AM). And we digested decision methods supported by statistics technique, line of thought about an AM participated with an insulation diagnosis, requisite database, and an examination example of life-cycle management. - We digested the present situation of AM of customer (manufacturing plant) side electric power equipment, an example of AM of power supply equipment in Netherlands, and examples of AM in the atomic energy field and in the road bridge field.
