	Recent progress in practical motion control
	Investigating R&D Committee on practical motion control
	Motion control is one of key technologies on design of mechatronic systems and its value is demonstrated when it is applied to practical use. Development of information technology, powerelectronics, and machining technology, as well as control theory and electronic technology, brings drastic changes in motion control and its application area. The fields of motion control are expanding from manufacturing-oriented applications to service-oriented applications, e.g., medical and rehabilitation applications. In order to adapt recent development of related technologies and expansion of application area, this report is organized to provide new seeds, concepts, and industrial tendency surveys.
