Pulsed power technology is rapidly expanding its applications in material, environmental, medical and other industrial areas. These applications have brought new technical trends to the methods of pulsed power generation. Repetition rate, efficiency, and lifetime have become important factors for energy storage, switching, and power transmission. New technologies, new devices, and new materials have been introduced to pulsed power systems that are being commercialized. Pulsed power has been successfully applied to material development, flue-gas treatment, and sterilization. New applications have been proposed for waste disposal, bio- and medical development. This technical report contains a summary of the investigation about these technological developments. | ||
