Investigation Committee on Architecturally-integrated Photovoltaic Module Engineering | ||
Photovoltaic power generation using solar energy has great potential for supplying energy, and for contributing to preventing greenhouse gas and global warming. It is necessary to develop technology to fabricate low-cost, highly-efficient photovoltaic modules for promoting the installation of photovoltaic system as new clean energy resources. It is important to advance the system integration, such as the architecturally-integrated photovoltaic module engineering. This technical report explain the recent research and development on high efficiency solar cell device technologies, large area thin film solar cell technologies and next generation new type solar cell devices in part I, and then summarize our investigation about module technologies focused on the architecturally-integrated photovoltaic module engineering in part II. |
